    ADHD actually stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. You do not need to despair because doctors have found that if you child uses the correct dosage of medication and the right type in conjunction with therapy then living a normal functioning life is completely possible. You need to be aware of the factor that the symptoms of add are different in children to adults. A child can be diagnosed with either ADD or ADHD, which depends on if they are hyperactive or not. ADD is diagnosed when a person has all the symptoms of ADD but doesn't have any hyperactive symptoms.
